NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) Service

Next generation sequencing (NGS) is a related term that describes a DNA sequencing technology that has revolutionized genomic research.

Next generation sequencing; It is a new technology for DNA, RNA sequencing and variant / mutation detection. Next generation sequencing is also called massive parallel sequencing or second generation sequencing. Next generation sequencing is a method of sequencing DNA fragments (or complementary DNA) simultaneously.

Unlike other methods, it is a method that can provide both qualitative and quantitative results. Therefore, both mutation analysis and increase or decrease in the number of chromosomes can be detected at the same time.

Unlike Sanger sequencing technology, the entire genome, transcriptome or millions of DNA fragments in smaller target regions can be sequenced in a single day with the NGS system. With NGS, many parallel sequencing reactions are performed simultaneously, resulting in high volume and rapid results. Again, with this system, the determination of chromosomal disorders and the analysis of single-gene diseases can be done much more reliably and at a lower cost.

With next-generation sequencing; • High-throughput DNA and RNA analyses, • Exome and Transcriptome sequencing, • 16S Metagenome and Microbiome analyses, • Short-chain RNA sequencing, • Whole exome sequencing data analysis can be performed in our laboratory.
